Extra information: I'd most like my user page to be translated into Traditional Chinese, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Finnish because I've had to edit wikis in those languages in order to add interwikis. Of course, I'd be happy to have translations into other languages as well.

I'd still very much like my user page to be translated into German. Simon Peter Hughes (talk) 06:36, May 15, 2018 (UTC)
I'll say again, I'd still very much like the page to be translated into German. Simon Peter Hughes (talk) 07:12, August 10, 2018 (UTC)

Messages Edit

Two questions:

  1. Where should we add the translation text? İ don’t know in which page you want the translated text.
  2. Do you have a Spanish (or Catalan) version? For me iťs better to translate from Spanish rather than from English.

I'd like it on my user page on Community Central. I use the template {{:w:User:Simon Peter Hughes}} to make that page display on most other wikis I edit, including this one.
I have a user page on the Spanish Wikipedia and a very brief and simple user page on the Catalan Wikipedia. You can use those as references if you like, although their content is not exactly the same as the page that I want translated. Simon Peter Hughes (talk) 02:41, July 16, 2017 (UTC)

I translated your source text to portuguese and polish. I'm pretty confident that the portuguese text is accurate, but the polish one may need some corrections – it is anyway understandable. Tell me if you liked it or if I may improve them :) listkiewski (oui?) 14:30, July 18, 2017 (UTC)

Trad. Chinese variantEdit

Hi, which variant do you prefer to have for Traditional Chinese: the general (zh-hant, Mainland) or the Taiwanese one (zh-tw)(or maybe both by using tabs or separate pages)?

By the way, did you plan to put the translation in the Community Central with the corresponding language (ex: here)? Thank you! TsukiYaksha月夜叉 Forest Spirit of the Moon 14:21, July 19, 2017 (UTC)

Never mind, both variants are basically the same. But would you like to have the simplified one by using either separate pages or tabs? TsukiYaksha月夜叉 Forest Spirit of the Moon 07:46, July 20, 2017 (UTC)
I don't mind. You can create a separate template for a simplified Chinese version or use a tab to put it on the same template as the traditional Chinese version. I think that both Chinese wikis that I've had to edit (the Chinese Halloween wiki and the Chinese Peanuts wiki) are in traditional Chinese. Simon Peter Hughes (talk) 12:11, July 21, 2017 (UTC)
Since both wikis don't specify their variants, as the URL says "zh", the general language code for Chinese, I think it's better to put in the same page, so it would be convenient. TsukiYaksha月夜叉 Forest Spirit of the Moon 01:50, July 22, 2017 (UTC)
OK. One template with tabs for both traditional and simplified Chinese. Sounds good to me. Simon Peter Hughes (talk) 13:54, July 22, 2017 (UTC)
