How does it work?[]
How are translations synched? I've seen manual imports from TWN to Messaging, is that it? Or is the whole translation concept still in the works?--AB 13:00, April 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Our contact imports the current translations from twn to our svn from time to time - the uploads on messaging mainly happen because sometimes it took too long until the synch actually happend. But, yes, it is still in the works and we will improve it over the time :) Marc-Philipp (Talk) 14:13, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
- So Messaging overrides TWN translations? How is that gonna work out?--AB 19:47, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
- Quite simple actually. There is the default messages code stored in *.i18n.php files, as given by mediawiki. Translatewiki.net translations update the default *.i18n.php files, this is the base area. On top of that you have the messaging area. On top of that, you have the local mediawiki area. This means:
- Code > Messaging > Local wiki
- Does this make sence? Marc-Philipp (Talk) 20:00, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, I got the picture now.--AB 21:40, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
